Mat (3:50:42 AM):	if she did the proper guardian thing, she'd.  basically exploit the magic that TOTALLY ASSISTS BUNNY AND NORTH BECAUSE EVEN WORKING LIKE MANIACS THERE ARE TIME SHENANIGANS IN THERE to get to the kids most struggling through the growing-up process.  and draws them out to her, basically, and they sit down and talk it out.  And she pretty much helps to ensure that all th awesome good things the other guardians bring to kids make it into their adulthoods.  And also provides them with a good coping mechanism via learning that talking to someone you trust when you're having a rough time or making a hard choice is a good thing.

Mat (3:51:40 AM):	like.  some of it is not really explicable, it's ~magic~.  How does she have a half hour conversation with a kid in like less than 5 minutes? who knows. magic. :|

Mat (3:56:50 AM):	but yeah, she's just.  drawn to the ones who need her most, goes, i figure she probably looks just right for them to trust, different for everyone, plus a little of that magical "i am here and good and trustworthy" aura.  and then just... talks to them.  Lets them talk to her, gently helps guide them to good and healthy choices and attitudes and coping skills, then lets them go and enact those things themselves.

Mat (3:57:15 AM):	I ALSO HAD AN IDEA ABOUT TRAVEL/HER DAMN CAR/THE GHOST ROADS?
Mat (3:58:34 AM):	I kind of figure she might not be the best offensive guardian, but in theory a really good TRAVELLER.  Support staff, basically.  The thing about the ghost roads is that they're... basically just old roads.  Roads that were there for ages, roads that were used a lot, roads that might even still be in the Daylight but have enough soul in them to be in the Twilight too
Mat (4:00:00 AM):	and in this sort of world, with the whole belief and everything, i figure... they wouldn't be GHOSTS, exactly, but you can get the spirits of the roads still.  Old roads, heavily used roads, roads that lead to beautiful or sentimental places, that sort of thing.  But they're sort of a level down from "reality" so to speak.  They're not like Bunny's tunnels, more like... pathed versions of the Wind that Jack uses.
Saphie (4:00:44 AM):	Bunnt's tunnels aren't really physical either
Saphie (4:00:52 AM):	Like they LOOK physical but they're not....
Saphie (4:00:59 AM):	Like if people tunneled underground they wouldn't see them
Saphie (4:01:07 AM):	So I figure it'd all be in a similar plane like that.
Mat (4:01:13 AM):	haha well no, but they're also not really their own sort of... intelligence, so to speak.  but yeah.
Mat (4:01:56 AM):	He asks the wind to take him places, he works with it, but he doesn't control it.  Rose can drop into those spirit roads, bring people, teach certain types of people (I'm mainly thinking Dean here, ngl) to get to them, and then ask the roads to get them where they need to be, and it's like.  you can get there HELLA FUCKING FAST.  just like the tunnels.  IF the roads will let you, if you ask, if you don't try to exploit, etc.
Mat (4:03:41 AM):	put her behind the controls of something you can drive and she can drive it, she can take it to the Roads and get you where you need to go, or get people and bring them back for backup.  And like, she'd need to LEARN them before she can use them, because they're not the ghost roads she's used to, it's not the twilight she existed in, but it's-- yeah.  roads.
Mat (4:04:15 AM):	and driving things.  Because driving is something she's already very good at.  combat, not so much, she died a very unathletic 16-year-old girl and that has not changed since she did.
Saphie (4:04:43 AM):	It'd be cool if they knew about the roads but didn''t have the power to acess them

Mat (4:04:55 AM):	ahahah oh yes, that WOULD be interesting.
Mat (4:05:41 AM):	(also I kind of thought that it would be a good way to bring her damn carboyfriend with her so she doesn't get bitchy about that - he can't leave the Twilight back in their world, he can't actually leave the Roads in this one, but he's always there when she drops down if she needs him.

Saphie (4:07:18 AM):	It can help them travel when bunny's not with the group
Saphie (4:07:26 AM):	when the sleigh wouldn't be appropriate
Mat (4:08:17 AM):	and like, yeah, i figure Dean would be able to learn to use the Roads if he had someone to teach him, he's the right kind of soul for it, i think.  which would mean that once SHE figures it out, and then figures out that DEAN might be able to do it, you'd have her AND Dean theoretically available if necessary.
Mat (4:08:26 AM):	for like.  Mass evacuations or whatever.
Saphie (4:08:32 AM):	oh yes
Saphie (4:08:43 AM):	well dean is bringing the metallicar
Saphie (4:08:45 AM):	he can summon it
Saphie (4:08:50 AM):	and it can fly and shit

Saphie (4:09:18 AM):	that and being able to yank a spirit version of the arsenl in the trunk wherever he is will be aprt of his powers
Mat (4:09:30 AM):	the Impala would probably freaking FLY on the Roads if he brought her down there.
Mat (4:09:52 AM):	(Rose will be in fits over the Impala, I'm so looking forward to it.  She loves cars and the souls of cars.)
Mat (4:10:17 AM):	(and she'll just be like "oh, she loves you so much, you must take good care of her")
Mat (4:11:55 AM):	roads and cars have songs and souls and she can't hear them the same way that like the routewitches can back home, but she can still hear them.  Her brother's granddaughter ended up a routewitch, I think it's very likely that she was a babyroutewitch who just didn't have a chance to grow up and travel enough to come into her abilities when she died.
